"This is a personal email written somewhat in haste to compliment three of your staff at Ipswich Audi on the service I received recently in the repair of my R8.
[due to the time of the incident] I became very concerned about leaving a (white) R8 on the road outside the premises – obviously there was no-one there and no-one contactable at that time of night.
As I was discussing the matter with the recovery vehicle driver I was approached by one of your staff – Nick Bacon – who by chance had seen my car on the back of the recovery truck on the outskirts of Ipswich and had wondered where it was going. Nick introduced himself and answered some questions about his identity politely and cheerfully. He explained that I could park off the road at the gate entrance and volunteered to park his car in front of mine to obscure it from public view (he lives nearby). He said that he would also send an email to the Servicing Manager and another member of staff to explain the situation so that everyone would be aware and be prepared first thing in the morning. Such helpfulness was extremely reassuring at a time when I was obviously distracted and worried. I would therefore like to draw Nick’s exemplary behavior to your attention.
I received my R8 back last week after a month’s worth of complex (and expensive!) repairs. I would also like to mention Jo Hines and Darren Nicholson to you. They have looked after me most helpfully and courteously during this prolonged and difficult period, as well as keeping downward pressure on the cost of the repairs. I am most grateful.
This recent experience only goes to reinforce my already favourable view of Audi cars and service, particularly from the Marriott Motor Group.
